The fees in the public sector (Decree dated 29/12/87) are laid down on the basis of the duration of the appointment and the complexity and importance of the works. The MIQ has prepared reference tariffs. |
liability | architects are held responsible for damage which compromises the soundness of the works or which make it unsuitable for its planned use (article 1792 of the Civil Code) for a period of 10 years from the date of commissioning. The 10-year period of responsibility assumes professional error. Article 1792 covers traditional structures, civil engineering, finishing works when related to transport works, foundations, structures, closed and covered.
The law provides for a performance guarantee for a period of 2 years from handing-over, of the dissociated finishing of the works.
