The Aguirre Newman Arquitectura - iAZ ZONE International Awards were granted yearly to support and highlight the professional and academic initiatives of young individuals and companies in the fields of architecture, construction, and design.
The Awards were granted in three categories:
A.Award for first professional achievements in building (international).
B. Award for architecture graduation projects (international).
C. Award for the best academic profile (Spain only).
The 1999 prize was designed by Oscar Estruga, for each of the First-Place Awards in the Categories A, B and C.
The Aguirre Newman Arquitectura - iAZ ZONE International Award Contest was open to individuals, organisations, and institutions that meet the requirements set out in the Contest Rules.
Aguirre Newman International Architecture Awards 2000 edition has been declared void. This is due to the fact that the number of candidates has not been enough to make a consistent decision.
